The area offers plenty to see and do.

A golf course can be found nearby and horse riding can be arranged. The Blackdown Hills Which overshadow the villge, are perfect for  long  walks and taking in the local scenery.

In addition why not visit Hestercombe Gardens, Fleet Air Museum, Longleat Safari Park or Cricket St Thomas. The coasts of Devon and Dorset are within comfortable driving distance.

   

 EXPLORING NEROCHE

 

BLACKDOWN HILLS.  The Neroche area forms part of the Blackdown Hills Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, recognised and protected as one of the 47 finest landscaped in Britain.

 

STAPLE  FITZPAINE  Herepath Trail.  This 13 1/2 mile(22kilometre) circular trail is open to walkers and horse riders and makes for a full day's fairly strenuous walking, or half day ride.  Some sections are are suitable for mountain biking.  The trail is waymarked - look out for wooden  Herepath posts.
